"Lifted Off the Ground" was my first Chely's album. I knew nothing about her fighting homosexual demons and I couldn't imagine that her negative attitude towards men on "Damn Liar" and "Object of Your Rejection" had the physical nature. It was extremely stupid of some critics to expect the songs in the vein of "She Went Out for Cigarettes" from a woman who had just come out of the closet. These people don't deserve their salaries. Chely Wright resurrected as a singer-songwriter with country roots leaving commercial country-pop in the past. The laid-back "Heavenly Days" is my favorite song in this set. But if you like to make hay or read between the lines your choice will differ from mine.
