Boy, he's one hell of a righteous cowboy. More straight than George Strait. I bet Aaron Watson is the reason for a number of wet beds in ladies' bedrooms. Their dreams of a macho farmer with romantic attitude and without Friday beer addiction came true. On the other hand, peer pressure suggests that adolescent indie kids should avoid this album. The Mexican theme of the record is best realized in the brilliant radio-unfriendly "Mariano's Dream." You can turn it on in the middle of the desert, watch the sun disappear over the horizon, and finally become coyotes' dinner.
